Solo Exhibition Continuation December 7 - December 30, 2009 Warren MacKenzie New Work Available: 7/30/10 A scholarship fund is being organized to honor Warren MacKenzie. A pot is a personal communication between the person who made it and the person who will use it in their daily life.To me there is a subtle difference between the communication that takes place with a painter or sculptor, and the personal contact that is involved in the understanding of a pot that is handled and used many times over the years, and only slowly reveals itself.This is my ideal, but it must be achieved without too much self-conscious effort.To quote Bernard Leach, “If you try to be good, you look like someone who is trying to be good, and no one very much believes in you”.
